With funding from a Suburban Library Cooperative Early Literacy Grant, the Youth Services Department created a pilot program:
1st Stop For Tots At Home Kits. These kits will include one board book, one Easy book, one shaky egg, one scarf, one set of bells, two rhythm sticks, one Basic Skills Practice Ring set, a rhyme booklet, a Tips sheet, and TALK promotional materials for families to keep. Families with children between birth and age three that reside in St. Clair Shores are eligible to request a kit. To reserve a kit, please call the Library at 586-771-9020, stop at the Youth Services Desk, or email at SCSYouth@libcoop.net. There are a limited number of kits available.
