Kolf’s Blue Star Bar

During the 1940s, beer gardens were popular in St. Clair Shores. One was operating at this spot in 1944. By 1953, it was known as “Randell’s Bar” and in 1978 it was Kolf’s Blue Star Bar.

From about 1953 to 1957, this spot was Randell’s Bar, according to local phone books. From 1972 to the mid-1980s, it was the Blue Star Bar. From 1985 to about 2000, the bar was named Mar-Dee’s Place. From 2000 to 2010, this building was Grissom’s Pub.
